Recently, The Chronicle Telegram ran a powerful series on Breanna Sprenger which was also followed up by a local television station airing her story. If you’re not familiar with her story, Breanna is a bright 10 year old girl with a passion for swimming. That may not sound unique, but Breanna was born with a left arm and no legs. Herindomitable spirit has helped her overcome many surgeries, and she is currently working towards her goal of becoming a Paralympic swimmer. She trains several times a week to meet this goal and currently swims on an all able-bodied swim team.
We had the opportunity to meet Breanna when photographing her family at the end of last year, and have been inspired to do what we can to help her meet her goals. She is raising money to enable her to continue to travel for swim meets and training purposes. For more information, you can check out her Team Breanna page on Facebook.
